Although, they did win the 2008 UEFA Intertoto Cup. Due to their strong 2009-10 season, Braga qualified for the Sevilla in the qualifying rounds to advance to the group stage.
With a third-place finish in their group, SC Braga were placed in the Europa League knockout stage. They ended up making a run to the FC Porto. Two years later, they added their first Taça da Liga to the SC Braga stats.
