The National Hockey League started off a new week post-Trade Deadline with just five games on tap, but NHL Monday games and scores saw plenty of tight action, close scores and various results for bettors. Let’s take a look at last night’s NHL scores games in review.

Forward Tyler Toffoli scored with 6.2 seconds left in regulation to give theDallas had their brief three-game streak broken while Calgary ended their five-game losing stretch.

Results: VAN wins 4-3 in a Shootout
NHL Over/Under: 6 Over -115, NSH -115/VAN +105

TheNashville Predators 4-3 in a shootout on Monday night. Forward Elias Petterson scored his 30th goal of the season and the 300th point in his National Hockey League career. Vasily Podkolzin and Dakota Joshua scored for the Canucks in regulation with Petterson being the only skater on both sides to score during the shootout. Winger Luke Evangelista scored a pair of third period goals for Nashville while defenseman Jeremy Lauzon notched a pair of assists. Rookie goaltender Arturs Silovs made 29 saves on 32 shots faced for his third career win. Vancouver has won four of their last six games overall while Nashville has won five of their last seven games with three more games left on their season-long six-game road trip.

Other News & Notes Around The League

  • Defenseman Seth Jones scored two goals while newly acquired forward Anders Bjork assisted on all three Ottawa Senators 5-0. Forward Jason Dickinson scored his ninth goal of the year and also picked up an assist while Andreas Athanasiou recorded two assists. Goalie Alex Stalock stopped all 35 shots faced for his second shutout of the season and eleventh shutout of his career. Chicago snapped their four-game losing streak while Ottawa’s five-game winning streak came to a close.
  • The Washington Capitals on Monday night. Forward Adrian Kempe scored his 30th goal on the season while Viktor Arvidsson notched two assists. Philip Danault also scored for the Kings, his 19th goal of the season. Alex Ovechkin scored his 36th goal of the year and 816th of his career early in the third period for the Capitals, who have now lost eight of their last eleven games.
  • Forward Tomas Hertl scored with eleven seconds left in regulation before Logan Couture scored 81 seconds into overtime as the Winnipeg Jets on Monday. Couture also picked up an assist on the game-tying goal by Hertl. James Reimer was sensational in goal, making 36 saves on 38 shots faced for the victory, his tenth on the year. Newly acquired winger Nino Neiderreiter scored his 19th goal and his first goal in his forth game with the Jets since coming over from the Nashville Predators back on February 25th.
