Cats Winners Four straight, Sharks Four Straight Unders

We’re not sure what to make of our job status when assigned to write about the Florida Panthers (9-4-1, 19 points) start their three-game California trip and are a massive favorite to kick it off with a win.
Oddsmakers have made the Panthers a -225 road favorite with a total of 6.5 (-118, over). Puck-drop is scheduled for 10:30 pm ET / 7:30 pm PT and can be seen on ESPN+ and HULU. We start our Panthers vs Sharks NHL odds preview with a look at the visitors.

The Panthers are Within Five Points Of Division Lead
It doesn’t appear as if the NHL injury report, starting with the return of Sam Bennett, which allows the Panthers to return to a club with depth that gives them a match-up advantage on most nights.
Florida has cashed five straight overs because their offense has generated 4 goals a night and that factors in a two-goal effort against the Chicago Blackhawks a little over a week ago. We continue our Panthers vs Sharks odds preview by shifting our attention to the San Jose Sharks.
Sharks Are Back to Earth
Things got exciting for a second for Sharks fans after getting their first win, 2-1, against the Anaheim on Monday. They’ve been outscored 9-1, in case you needed us to do the match.
This is an organization that has been in turmoil since taking its sweet time in firing former head coach Bob Boughner on July 1st, 2022, and then taking almost a month after that to name Dave Quinn his successor. That was because they were also taking their time in naming a new GM. This is not an organization with direction right now and until that happens, they’ll rarely be recommended as a team you should put your money behind.
Business As Usual
We haven’t seen enough of the betting patterns to know which way the public is going in this one, but for us, there is only one option. Excluding last season, the Florida Panthers produced a profit for bettors in two of the last three seasons.
Their +213 units this year have them on track for another winning season while handing bettors a 96-52 record as a favorite, not good enough to make a profit (-3.45 units) but good enough to have comfort in a Panthers wager even if you must pick your spots.
We would never suggest betting on an NHL picks and parlays on Tuesday.
