Lofty Expectations for Goff and The Detroit Lions in 2024
2024 Jared Goff Season Odds Project Another 4000-Yard Season

Is This Detroit’s Year to Make The Super Bowl?
The Detroit Lions are coming off a season when they won a division title for the first time since 1993. Is the best yet to come? The 2024 Jared Goff season odds could see the veteran become the first quarterback to lead the Lions to the Super Bowl.

When it comes to the NFL season predictor, only the San Francisco 49ers and Philadelphia Eagles have shorter odds than the Lions at +600 to earn the No. 1 seed in the NFC playoffs after Detroit reached the NFC Championship Game for the second time before falling to the San Francisco 49ers.
Goff is heading into his fourth season with the Lions and ninth NFL season. He looks to get the Lions over the hump and into the Super Bowl.

Here is more on what to expect from Jared Goff during the 2024 NFL season.
Plenty of Talent to Work With
The 29-year-old Goff certainly isn’t flying solo going into the 2024 season.
The Lions just signed offensive tackle Taylor Decker to a three-year, $60 million extension. The other offensive tackle is Penei Sewell, a 23-year-old who was one of the highest-graded offensive linemen in the NFL last season.
The Lions also used a fourth-round pick in the 2024 NFL Draft on offensive lineman Giovanni Manu. That could impact the 2024 Jared Goff season odds.
In recent drafts, the Lions brought in some talented players at the skill positions with 22-year-old running back Jahmyr Gibbs, 24-year-old receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown, 23-year-old receiver Jameson Williams, and 23-year-old tight end Sam LaPorta giving the Lions plenty of playmakers on offense.
Detroit finished second in the NFL with an average of 258.9 ing yards per game during the 2023 regular season. The Lions were third in total offense and fifth in scoring offense.
What to Expect From Goff
Goff is ninth among active players with 30,429 career ing yards and is 11th with 185 career touchdown es in the regular season.
What do the 2024 Jared Goff season odds look like?
Goff has -115 odds to go either over or under 26.5 touchdown es with the same odds to go over or under 4050.5 ing yards.
“I’ve always been a huge fan of Jared Goff, and he always winnin’, man!”

He is tied for 11th at +2000 in the NFL Most Valuable Player odds and has +1600 odds to lead the NFL in ing touchdowns.
- The +800 odds to be the NFL leader in ing yards might be a better option when it comes to the NFL best bets.
Goff has finished in the top 10 in ing yards five times in the last seven seasons.
The Gift That Keeps On Giving
History was made when a pair of former No. 1 overall picks were traded for each other with Jared Goff going from the Los Angeles Rams to the Detroit Lions in exchange for Matthew Stafford.
It was far from a 1-for-1 swap as two first-round picks and a third-round selection headed from the Rams to the Lions.
The first of the No. 1 selections was part of a deal that enabled the Lions to move up 20 spots and take Williams with the second of its two first-round picks in the 2022 NFL Draft.
The Rams’ top pick in 2023 also went to Detroit. It ended up being No. 6 overall but Detroit traded down with the trade resulting in Gibbs being picked by the Lions at No. 12, LaPorta being the No. 34 selection, and pick No. 168 being used in a package that Detroit used to draft defensive lineman Broderic Martin in the third round.
A third-round selection did go to Arizona in one of two trades between the NFL teams during the 2023 NFL Draft.
Right now, the winner of the trade would have to be the Rams since Stafford led Los Angeles to a Super Bowl title. However, in a few years, this could go down as one of the best deals in Detroit’s franchise history.
Are The Lions Ready to Roar?
Detroit is favored to win a second straight division title and that is something that hasn’t happened since the 1953 and 1954 seasons.
The Lions are priced at +140 in the NFC North title odds. Green Bay is next at +200 while the Chicago Bears, aided by the arrival of No. 1 overall pick Caleb Williams at quarterback, fellow top-10 pick Rome Odunze at receiver, and veteran catcher Keenan Allen, have +300 odds of winning the NFC North.
- The Minnesota Vikings (+800) are trending in the wrong direction after seeing quarterback Kirk Cousins sign with the Atlanta Falcons.
The Lions have -250 odds to make the NFL playoffs with -140 odds to go over 10.5 wins during the regular season.
Detroit will play a first-place schedule so that will make things a little more challenging. After facing the New York Giants, Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs, and Pittsburgh Steelers in the preseason, Detroit opens the 2024 season against the Rams as former Detroit franchise quarterback Matthew Stafford returns to Detroit.
The Lions are currently listed by the NFL betting line as the 3.5-point favorite in the season opener.
The next week Detroit is home again to face reigning NFC South Division champion Tampa Bay. There is a mid-October road game against the Dallas Cowboys with the first NFL matchup with Green Bay coming on the road on Nov. 3.
There is a four-game stretch in December against the Packers, Buffalo Bills, Chicago Bears, and San Francisco 49ers before the regular season wraps up at home against the Minnesota Vikings. The best NFL prop bets could come early in the season.
