2024 College Football Rankings Predictions: Usual Suspects

One thing is certain when looking ahead to the 2024 college football season. The more things change, the more they stay the same. The early recruiting grades for the class of 2024 have Alabama in their top four. The 2023 recruiting grades had the same three teams in the top four. You can say the same thing for 2022. The 2024 college football rankings predictions have to include the same three teams.

When the big dogs of the college football world are consistently attracting the top high school players in the nation, it will be easy for other teams to catch up. Every once in a while, a team like TCU or NCAA football ranking for the playoffs.

For a real longshot, take a look at Texas A&M. The Aggies recruiting class of 2022 was rated No. 1 in the nation. Texas A&M slid down a bit in 2023, finishing No. 15. But the Aggies were ranked No. 7 for the class of 2024. The class of 2022 should be making some solid contributions in 2024, and Texas A&M could surprise a few people along the way.
