Big 12 Basketball Matchups: Texas Visits Kansas in Key Game
TCU Travels to Kansas State in Battle of Top 15 Teams

The Big 12 basketball matchups have some great games this week, beginning with Monday’s Texas at Kansas contest. TCU is at Kansas State on Tuesday night in another big matchup. In the remaining eight games for the week, seven of them have at least one ranked team, which is a testament to the strength of the conference. Several of those ranked teams are going to be underdogs this week, as there are no easy games in the Big 12.

Jayhawks are better from 3-point range. Both teams are in the top 50 in NCAA basketball in pace, so there could be a lot of up-and-down the court here. With the total at 146.5, this one could be worth a play on the over.
Tuesday, Feb. 7
TCU Horned Frogs vs Kansas State Wildcats

Location: Bramlage Coliseum (Manhattan, Kansas)

The next game in the Big 12 basketball matchups features No. 15 TCU (17-6) visiting No. 7 Kansas State (18-5). The NCAAB games predictions would lean to the under in this one.

The Big 12 basketball matchups kick-off Wednesday’s tripleheader with a decent game between No. 13 Iowa State (16-6) visiting West Virginia (14-9). Even though the West Virginia No. 46, and both are in the top 30 in offensive rebounds. Iowa State’s foul shooting is always a concern in close games. The Cyclones are No. 330 in the nation, shooting just 66% from the charity stripe.
Texas Tech Red Raiders vs Oklahoma State Cowboys

Oklahoma Sooners vs Baylor Bears
Date & Time:
Location: Ferrell Center (Waco, Texas)
Streaming: ESPNU
The final game in the Big 12 basketball matchups features Oklahoma (12-11) visiting No. 11 Baylor (17-6) and the Bears will be close to 9-point favorites with a total near 143. The Baylor gets plenty of offensive rebounds, which helps its rating, as the Bears aren’t a great shooting team. The Sooners are solid defending the 3-pointer, where Baylor scores 35% of its points, so may be able to hang around a bit in this one.
Saturday, Feb. 11
Kansas Jayhawks vs Oklahoma Sooners
Date & Time:
Location: Lloyd Noble Center (Norman, Oklahoma)
Streaming: CBS
The Jayhawks visit the Oklahoma Sooners and the line will likely be a bit lower than many expect, as the Jayhawks will be close to 2.5-point favorites with a total near 140. Kansas beat Oklahoma 79-75 earlier in the season. The Sooners are having a tough time in conference play but have dropped three Big 12 games by three points or less. If Oklahoma can take care of the ball, they’ll make a game of this one. The Sooners will try to slow the game down a bit and the under is worth a look if the total is 139 or higher.
Baylor Bears vs TCU Horned Frogs
Date & Time:
Location: Schollmaier Arena (Fort Worth, Texas)
Streaming: ESPN2
Another solid offering by the Big 12 Conference here, as two ranked teams battle it out in Fort Worth. The Horned Frogs went into Baylor and came away with an 88-87 victory, rallying back from a 48-31 first-half deficit. The Horned Frogs will be about 3-point favorites in this one and the total will be close to 150. The Bears are likely going to try and slow the pace down a little. Baylor has a big edge in offensive rebounding. The Bears made 16 turnovers compared to 7 by TCU in the first meeting, wasting a +7 in rebounding in the process.
Kansas State Wildcats vs Texas Tech Red Raiders
Date & Time:
Location: United Supermarkets Arena (Lubbock, Texas)
Streaming: Big 12 Network
The Big 12 basketball matchups for the week conclude with a decent game between Kansas State and Texas Tech. The Wildcats will about 2-point favorites with a total near 144. The Wildcats won 68-58 earlier in the season in a game the Red Raiders couldn’t hit their shots.
Texas Tech was 38.1% from 2-point range and 24.1% from 3-point range. Texas Tech even stunk it up from the foul line, going 5 for 12. The Red Raiders led 33-28 at halftime but the Wildcats stormed back for the win. Kansas State was 20 for 27 at the foul line, so a decent disparity in free throw attempts. If the total is no higher than 145, the over is worth a good look here.
