Tampa Bay Rays Win Streak Reaches 6 Games

Rays Could Go Over Longest Winning Streak Bet Out of The Gate

Those who bet the over on the longest Tampa Bay Rays win streak would exceed 7.5 games have to be feeling pretty good right now. Tampa Bay ran off its sixth-straight victory on Wednesday. The Rays are the lone undefeated team in Major League Baseball.

Before the season started, you could bet Tampa Bay’s longest winning streak would be over or under 7.5 games. Those who bet the over received +110 odds.

Bettors who took the under were asked to lay -140. Those who placed a wager on the Rays win streak probably expected it to go more than eight games into the season. But there’s a chance the bet could be determined on Saturday. But the Oakland A’s standing in the way over the weekend.

Tampa Bay will send Zach Eflin to the mound on Friday. He allowed one run in five innings in his first start. Oakland’s probable starting pitcher is Ken Waldichuk, who allowed six runs his first outing of the season.

On Saturday, the Rays are expected to send Jeffrey Springs to the mound after his 12-strikeout performance to start the season. The A’s should counter with Shintaro Fujinami, who didn’t make it out of the third inning in his MLB debut.

During the Rays win streak, Tampa Bay hasn’t just been beating Washington saw the Rays score five runs in the ninth inning. The Rays have outscored foe’s 44-13 this season.

Tampa Bay Posting Quality Stats

The Rays are No. 4 in MLB in hitting and No. 2 in pitching. Tampa has scored the most runs in the league through six games and are tied with the MLB standings. The Rays are undefeated, while the Dodgers have lost a pair of games.

The Rays were expected to be good this season. Tampa Bay was right there with Yankees. But few people could have foreseen how dominant the Rays would be at the start.

Those who were high on the Rays before the season began could have taken Tampa Bay +1800 to have the longest winning streak in Major League Baseball this season. The Rays were tied for having the 10th lowest odds. So they weren’t one of the favorites, but not a real longshot to get it done either.

Tampa Bay players should enjoy the Rays win streak while it lasts. Wander Franco is not going to hit .417 this season. Nor will Luke Raley continue his 81-home run pace over the course of the season. And Springs isn’t going to average two strikeouts per inning. But it’s certainly fun while it lasts.

Tampa Bay will come back down to earth, but they’re a solid team. The Rays have some people who can hit the ball, along with a solid pitching staff. The weakest link among starting pitchers is Josh Fleming, who is coming off two subpar seasons and a dismal start to begin the season.

TheNew York Yankees. The Rays have been successful both offensively and defensively, with strong performances from players like Randy Arozarena and Tyler Glasnow.

How Long Will Streak Last?

The Rays are going to be huge favorites against Oakland in all three games. Tampa Bay hasn’t been lower than a -170 favorite this season and it’s hard to see that change now. With Oakland starting the season 2-4, you have to expect the Rays will be going at -200 or more in each of the three games against the A’s. As long as Tampa Bay continues to win, the line should continue to inch higher against Oakland.
