Even with Shohei Ohtani, Corbin Burnes, Jacob deGrom, Pablo Lopez, Gerrit Cole, Shane McClanahan and Alek Manoah among the starting pitchers in the 15 games played on Tuesday, just five games finished under the total and that was just one of the storylines in the MLB Tuesday recap.
The favorites finished 11-4 and when breaking down the MLB scores, 10 of the games ended up being decided by at least three runs.
The streaks continued as the Tampa Bay Rays won their 11th in a row and St. Louis rookie outfielder Jordan Walker now has a hit in each of his first 11 games. Luis Arraez made some history by hitting for the cycle in Miami’s road win against defending National League champion Philadelphia.

Rays Win Again
The biggest news among the 10 games in the MLB Tuesday recap when the home team was favored came when the MLB team standings and are two wins away from the best start in MLB history during the modern era.

It is easy to excuse those who got a little anxious when they rode with the road favorites on Tuesday with two of the five games with the home team listed as the underdog being tied in the ninth inning.

San Francisco (+140) got a two-run double in the first inning from former Dodger Joc Pederson to top favored Los Angeles 5-0.
