Golf: American Value with Rocket Mortgage Classic Odds
The PGA Tour heads to Detroit

Bookmakers have released Rocket Mortgage Classic odds and the field is headlined by Patrick Cantlay however, another American could be the one to catch at Detroit Golf Club this week.
After a couple of weeks with lower-quality fields, it’s good to see some of the world’s best players tee it up at the Rocket Mortgage Classic.
PGA betting odds have value throughout the market and we’re ready to snap it up after cashing with Tony Finau last week.
Zalatoris on the Brink
Although Will Zalatoris has not yet achieved victory on the PGA Tour, he has placed second in three major championships, including the PGA Championship and Masters Tournament.
The young American has been in excellent form and his first big victory is just a matter of time. Since Tony Finau was our prediction to win the 3M Open, we are hoping it happens this week because the +1600 Rocket Mortgage Classic odds are tempting.
Zalatoris is one of the best players in the world right now despite only having one Korn Ferry Tour victory to his credit, we’ll continue to follow him until he succeeds. He won’t be one of those players who takes 5-10 years to win on the PGA Tour and his first success should come in 2022.
“We’re sitting here talking about me not winning a major,” Zalatoris told Golf Channel.
“I’ve been on the PGA Tour for 20 months. It’s a pretty good spot to be in. It’s something that has fueled my fire, for sure and I know that, eventually, I’m going to get one one day.
We’ve been this close. We’re talking about me having [three] runners-up in majors here. I think I’ll take that resume, but obviously, I’d like to replace some of the silver medals with some gold medals.”
PGA Tour betting is all about finding value and the odds values for Zalatoris.
We’re Backing Tringale… Again
Cameron Tringale is a guy we hate to love but we couldn’t live with ourselves if we won and we didn’t bet on him.
He is getting awfully close to posting his first solo PGA-Tour win and the +4000 Rocket Mortgage Classic odds are too juicy to up.
The American showed his skills when leading the Scottish Open after the opening round before hanging on to finish T6. He parlayed that to a good finish at the Open Championship, and although he didn’t play well at the 3M Open, we’re prepared to forgive that effort.
Bettors get odds well worth the risk and we’ll stick with him for at least another week unless he misses the cut again.
Kisner Making Putts
We love watching Kevin Kisner putt, especially when we have something on him at the sportsbook.
The 38-year-old is one of the best putters on the PGA Tour and that could be enough to see him win at the Detroit Golf Club. He comes off a strong showing at the Open Championship and the 2021 Wyndham Championship winner is overdue another victory.
His T21 finish at St. Andrews should give him enough confidence back on home soil and the likable golfer should have his ers with Rocket Mortgage Classic odds. He played lights out in the third round after making almost every putt he looked at, so that could translate to a good performance.
“It’s just a fun place to stroll around and play golf, and when the putts are going in, it makes it even more enjoyable,’’ Kisner said.
“Maybe the greens [were] a little more receptive today. I don’t know why but the green speeds were faster today and softer.”
He’s currently a +3500 chance to win but we think those betting odds are likely to shorten. We would back him at around +2800, so we’re snapping up the value and we expect another strong showing.
