Freiburg vs Leverkusen Odds
Leverkusen Unbeaten Streak on the Line

Freiburg Suffer Five Goal Loss
Bundesliga. We’ll preview the Freiburg vs Leverkusen odds ahead of the match.
Head-to-Head
This has been quite a competitive fixture in recent seasons. The last seven matches on the German Bundesliga schedule between Freiburg and Leverkusen have been even. During that time, both sides have won three games and one match has finished in a draw. Plus, each of the last six have been decided by one goal or ended in a draw. Last October, Florian Wirtz and Jonas Hofmann scored in a 2-1 Bayer Leverkusen win. The pregame Freiburg vs Leverkusen odds listed Bayer as -215 favorites. Last season’s match in Freiburg finished in a 1-1 draw.
Freiburg Fall Apart Defensively
Freiburg were absolutely no match for London. Freiburg had a lot of possession and a decent number of chances but were wasteful. Plus, they allowed West Ham entirely too much time on the ball in the Freiburg defensive and it showed in the scoreline.
West Ham went up 2-0 in the first half and the Hammers got on the scoresheet three times in the second. Mohamed Kudus scored twice and his first goal was a thing of beauty. He picked up the ball in his own half and beat three Freiburg defenders and finished past Noah Atubolu. Freiburg’s defensive performance certainly doesn’t bode well for this weekend’s match. After all, Freiburg have conceded at least twice in five of their last seven games overall. With just one win from their last seven league matches, Freiburg are in eighth place in the Bundesliga standings.
Given their poor form, they are at risk of missing out on a Bundesliga leaders. Notably, Max Eggestein is suspended and Noah Weisshaupt is injured.
Bayer Leverkusen Pull Off Another Comeback
Bayer Leverkusen fell behind by two goals in last week’s Europa League round of 16 first leg at Qarabag. Florian Wirtz pulled one back and Patrik Schick equalized in stoppage time to head back to all square. It was a similar story for Leverkusen on Thursday, as they fell behind 2-0 once again but Qarabag did have a man down. Substitute Alex Grimaldo injected energy into the side and sent in a cross that fellow wingback Jeremie Frimpong coolly slotted in.
Schick once again scored a dramatic stoppage time equalizer but he one upped himself. In the 97th minute he doubled his tally for the night on a header and sent Bayer Leverkusen through to the Quarter-Final. Leverkusen are 37 games unbeaten and have earned the moniker “Bayer Neverlusen”.
Xabi Alonso’s side is on a six game winning streak in the Bundesliga and defeated Bundesliga odds list them as -2000 favorites to pull it off. Unfortunately, Jonas Hofmann went off injured on Thursday and could miss Sunday’s match along with Victor Boniface. Meanwhile, Frimpong is suspended.
Match Analysis & Odds
Through injuries, adversity and sporadic poor performances, Bayer Leverkusen have remained unbeaten. They’re clearly taking pride in their unbeaten run and would love to become the first team to win the Bundesliga without a defeat. Here, the Freiburg vs Leverkusen odds list visitors Leverkusen as -180 favorites. Freiburg are unbeaten in their last two matches at home vs. Leverkusen.
However, Freiburg are at risk of finishing the Bundesliga season with a negative goal difference for the first time in five seasons. They’ve conceded 45 goals through 25 matches and West Ham made them look rather amateur on Thursday. Freiburg head into this one as +460 underdogs but Freiburg +1 does show -115 odds.
Bettors can also take Leverkusen -1 at -105 and should note that Bayer have scored at least two goals in each of their last nine games, in all competitions. A draw (+340) is another option but under 2.5, 3 goals are priced at -115 odds. We wouldn’t be surprised to see a shootout here, though, as the over sits at -105.
