Teraji All the Rage Ahead of Title Fight
Teraji vs Canizales Betting Odds

Kenshiro Teraji the WBA and WBC light flyweight champion and he, puts his titles on the line against Carlos Canizales on Tuesday.
The main event of the night headlines boxing events, and most of the early money has come for the Japanese star with Teraji vs Canizales betting odds.
He has a -700 chance to win, and it would be a big upset should he lose.
What to Make of Canizales?
The 30-year-old Venezuelan comes off a win against Daniel Matellon in the title eliminator, but it was a strange fight.
Judges deducted Matellon two points for headbutts, of which there were three during the fight. Had he not been deducted those points, Canizales may not have done enough to win.
He rides a four-fight winning streak following a loss to Esteban Bermudez, which is a concerning loss to have on his record.
If the +450 underdog with boxing betting odds wants to pull off an upset, he’ll need to fight out of his skin.
Boxing is a sport where anything can happen, and he owns 19 wins by knockout from 28 fights. However, from what we’ve seen so far, Teraji could have the class edge over the underdog, as the odds suggest.
Canizales isn’t a stranger to fighting in Asia. He faced Sho Kimura in China for the WBA light flyweight title in 2019 before losing that title to Bermudez.
It shows he’s good enough to win the title once, so he could turn back time and run it back.
Teraji Storming Through Division
Following a loss to Masamichi Yabuki in 2021, Teraji has run through the opposition without much problem.
Teraji vs Canizales betting odds have the 32-year-old at short odds to roll through Canizales, and we wouldn’t be surprised if he did.
His last four wins have come by knockout or TKO, including a third round knockout over Yabuki in the title rematch.
That was a stellar performance, which set him up to beat Hiroto Kyoguchi in 2022. Kyoguchi was a 16-0 Japanese fighter with a good career ahead, and Teraji made him look second rate.
He’s not overlooking Canizales, who has a good record against Asian boxers.
“I’m excited because he’s a strong boxer,” Teraji said. “He is former world champion, he has never lost versus a Japanese [fighter] before.
“Canizales has fought around the world,” he said. “He is tough and has heart, good footwork and a strong punch.
“I think everything [I do] is better. I have good jab and speed. I think he will be surprised.”
Of all the boxers on show in Japan on Tuesday, bettors should be most excited about Teraji. He’s dynamic, and he could hold onto his titles.
Teraji to Deliver
The fight Teraji vs Canizales betting odds have Teraji at -700, which is on the shorter side of value.
Teraji to win by knockout represents much better value, and he could continue to his impressive finishing streak.
We’re also including under 9.5 rounds at -115. We can’t see this fight going the distance, and most of the money should come for the under.
The favorite has been putting away his opponents well before the 10th round, and we’re including the under in our boxing parlays.
Bettors should parlay Teraji to win at -700 with Dalakian, who fights Seigo Akui earlier on the card. He’s paying -115, so combine the two boxers for a better payout.
