Since 1998, Nashville, Tennessee has hosted the Music City Bowl, another college bowl event and one that the NCAA fully sponsors. Over time, the event has had several sponsors and several different names. Currently, the event is now being held at Nissan Stadium in Nashville.

That year, the Tigers easily sured the Boilermakers to finish with a 63-14 win over Purdue, making it the highest score ever recorded in the history of the Music Bowl.
